Born in 1889, Mr. Le Bai fortunately inherited the traditional martial arts from his father,
a military officer under the Nguyen Dynasty. At the age of 20 while working at a train station
in Van Nam, China, he had the opportunity to meet the Ly Quans, a famous martial artist couple in
the province of Qui Chau and began taking lessons from them. Appreciating Mr. Bai's skills and
determination, the Ly Quans decided to teach him the best they could. Later on the advice of his
masters, Mr. Bai went back to Van Nam seeking to further his skills in martial arts with Mr.
Trinh Quang Chao who was Mr. Ly Quan's senior.
