History - Spring Ceremony
Han Bai Kung Fu founder, Grand Master Han Bai, is remembered not only for his distinguished talent
but most of all for his part in distilling and reforming the traditional Shaolin techniques to form
a new style of martial arts that better suit the Vietnamese physique and temperament. Every spring on
the 6th day of the third month of the lunar calendar, Han Bai students in Vietnam as well as abroad
gather in honor of their founder. In the U.S., this ceremony in recent years has been carried out in
Maryland under the guidance of Master Nguyen Viet Bang.
